In this 3-day instructor-led training you will learn how to use basic FortiGate features, including security profiles. In the interactive facilitated labs, you will explore firewall policies, user authentication, SSL VPN, and how to protect your network using security profiles such as IPS, antivirus, web filtering, application control, and more. These administration fundamentals will provide you with a solid understanding of how to implement basic network security.

Who Should Attend
Anyone who is responsible for day-to-day management of a FortiGate appliance. Students should attend this course before attending FortiGate Infrastructure 6.4.

Prerequisites

• TCP/IP network experience and a basic understanding of firewall concepts.

Requirements

• A computer running Windows 7 or later OS.
• If choosing the electronic courseware, a second screen (e.g. tablet, laptop) is recommended for viewing the Lab Guide while working on the online labs.
