• Introduction to Check Point and the role of the Network Security Administrator
• Familiarity with Check Point’s security architecture and main components
• Familiarity with Check Point’s deployment options and functions
• Knowledge of the key security administrative functions when using SmartConsole
• Understanding of compliance regulatory and licensing requirements
• Knowledge of what a unified Security Policy is and how to manage policy packages
• Knowledge about policy layers and their effects on traffic
• Understanding of how to manage user access internally and externally
• Knowledge of the difference between Hide and Static NAT and how to generate traffic
• Knowledge of how to view and analyze generated traffic

Requirements

• PC with Windows 7 or later OS
• A second monitor or additional device (e.g. tablet, laptop) is recommended for viewing the lab guide while working on the online labs.

One copy of the CCSA R80.40 electronic courseware is included.

Certification

This course helps prepare you for the Check Point Security Administrator CCSA R80 certification exam
(not included).  The exam is delivered by PearsonVUE and can be taken at any authorized PearsonVUE training facility, which includes A2N’s Mississauga head office.  However, due to COVID-19 precautions candidates are encouraged to take the exam online at https://home.pearsonvue.com.
